violence
A possessed man brutally beats his wife, eventually breaking her fingers, tying her neck in a noose and throwing her down a well; the woman's children witness the aftermath. A man kicks his dog. Another is impaled by a sword in bloody fashion. People are thrown around by invisible spirits and struck with blunt objects. Other violence includes crunchy fight scenes and beatings of a slapstick nature.

Sequences of supernatural threat in which demonic figures haunt characters, including children, are prolonged and intense. Entities appear in shadows, loom over people and possess their bodies, as well as manifesting in various frightening forms, including disembodied hands, and a black crawling figure.
language
Bad language is very mild ('jerk', 'God' and 'damn').
sex
There is use of innuendo and references to a man feeling 'horny'.
