X-MEN: APOCALYPSE is a sci-fi action sequel in which an ancient evil threatens the future of humans and mutants alike.

There are frequent scenes of moderate violence, including fistfights, use of bladed weapons, and superhuman characters battling each other using energy blasts, lightning, and other powers. In one sequence characters are briefly set on fire, crushed by falling rubble, contorted, or turned into skeletons by those with super powers. In another scene a character's leg is broken.

Occasional bloody images include brief sight of blood splatter against a wall, behind a character who is attacked off-screen, and close-up of an incision made into a man's body during a ritual.

In one scene there is some very brief body horror as wings grow from a character's back, emerging from beneath his skin.

Occasional scenes of moderate threat include cities being destroyed and characters escaping from crumbling buildings and explosions.

There is infrequent use of strong language ('f**k'), as well as use of mild bad language ('asshole', 'piss off').
