THE WORKSHOP is a French language drama in which an author becomes concerned about the behaviour of a young man in her creative writing group.

Language

There is strong language ('f**k'). Other bad language includes uses of the terms 'shit', 'butt', 'bullshit', 'pissed', 'screw', and 'jerks'.

There is moderate threat when a young man turns up at a woman's house at night and points a gun at her. Drug references include a scene in which teenagers hold joints at a party. Moderate sex references include verbal references to a man 'getting hard' and to a woman being 'turned on'. There is racist behaviour when a young man tells a young Muslim woman that her friends are terrorists; however the comments are clearly disapproved of by other characters in the film.
