WHITE LIGHTNIN’ is an account of the life of a mountain dancer and career criminal from West Virginia.
- Violence
In one scene, a man kills two men, beating one to death with a hammer and stripping the other man naked before wrapping him in chicken wire and drowning him in a cesspit.
There is also a scene in which, following a religious conversion, a man brands himself with a hot poker, cuts off some of his own fingers and his tongue.
There are also several scenes of drug misuse and substance abuse, including a young man sniffing solvents and paint and having crack cocaine injected into his arm by a Hell’s Angel.
There is also strong language ('f**k') throughout the film.
