WE THE ANIMALS is a coming of age drama following the youngest of three brothers as he navigates his developing sexuality and his parents' volatile relationship.

Language

There is use of strong language ('f**k', 'motherf**ker').

Sex

An older teen shows the protagonist pornography, with sight of thrusting, implied anal sex, and cunnilingus. Drawings by the protagonist are later discovered by his parents, depicting men performing oral and anal sex acts. There are also animated sequences with stylised images of men and women in sexual positions, but without graphic detail.

Nudity

There is occasional sexualised nudity, including breasts and buttocks.

Drugs

Young teenagers smoke marijuana, but the work as a whole does not condone or promote drug misuse.

Violence
