WARRIORS is a documentary about the Maasai Cricket Warriors team from Kenya and its participation in an amateur cricket competition held in London. The film also looks at traditional Maasai tribal customs, including the practice of female genital mutilation.

Theme

There are several relatively undetailed references to female genital mutilation. One girl recalls being told she would be shaved in the evening before being 'cut' the following morning. Another girl, in a reference to HIV / AIDS transmission, says: "They use the same knife for all the girls".
