VEDALAM is a Tamil language action drama about a man with a mysterious past who takes on a family of criminals.

Moderate action violence includes punches, kicks and blows using poles as weapons. There are also implied stabbings and shootings, but without detail.

There is sight of blood on walls, floors and characters in the aftermath of violence.

A woman's body is found suspended by a scarf, having hanged herself in order to avoid being sold by human traffickers.

Other issues include mild bad language ('pissing' and 'hell').

There are sex references as men discuss selling women for the 'international skin trade' and describe them as 'pieces of meat'. A woman also falsely accuses a man of raping her in order to avoid his unwanted attentions.
