UNREST is a US documentary about a woman's battle with chronic fatigue syndrome.

Theme

There are distressing scenes of illness and emotional upset as sufferers' experiences of living with M.E. are depicted or described. There is also a montage of historical photographs and film footage of women in asylums being treated for hysteria.

Suicide

Patients discuss their suicidal thoughts in video diaries and it is noted that suicide is a common cause of death for people with M.E.

Language

There is infrequent strong language ('f**k'), alongside milder terms including 'shithole', 'pissed', 'hell' and 'mother-fricking'.

There are infrequent mild sex references and a scene of natural nudity.
