THE TRIBE is a Ukrainian drama set in and around a specialised boarding school for the deaf.

Sex

There are several scenes of strong sexual activity. These include portrayals of sex in various positions, including oral sex.

Nudity

Some of the sex scenes feature full frontal male and female nudity.

Violence

In one scene four young men are killed as they sleep in their beds, their heads being crushed with heavy bedside lockers. In another scene a bottle is smashed over a male character's head.

Disturbing images

There is a long scene in which a young woman has a backstreet abortion. It is implied that a speculum and various surgical probes are inserted into the woman's vagina and blood is seen on the abortionist's gloves at the conclusion of the procedure.
