Note: The following text may contain spoilers

THERE WILL BE BLOOD is a period drama that charts the rise of an oil prospector whose appetite for oil distorts his relationships with the people around him.

Violence

There is one moment of strong bloody violence in which a character is bludgeoned to death with resultant sight of blood.

There are also infrequent mild sex references, including the suggestion of a visit to a brothel, and mild bad language ('hell', 'goddamn', 'ass', and literal use of 'bastard' which is also intended as an insult).
