Note: The following text may contain spoilers

TESTAMENT OF ORPHEUS is a 1960 French fantasy drama in which an artist travels through time and recalls his inspirations and obsessions.

Language

There is mild bad language ('merde').

Violence

There is mild, stylised violence. In one scene, the artist is shot but recovers immediately and walks away. In another scene, he is run through with a spear thrown by an actor dressed as a Greek goddess. There is no strong detail as the spear enters through his back, or when it is pulled out, and image of his blood on the ground is deliberately designed to look unreal.
