A SYRIAN LOVE STORY is a documentary about a family in Syria that face oppression under the Assad regime, followed by exile and heartbreak.

Language

There is use of strong language ('f**k'), as well as use of milder bad language (eg 'shit', 'whore').

Violence

There are references to torture and violence, when participants recall how their friends have been tortured in Syria. This includes such references as, 'dug holes in the body' and 'pulled teeth out with pliers'. There is also a reference to someone having his penis cut off.

Disturbing images
