STATUS UPDATE is a US fantasy comedy in which a high school teen discovers a magical app which makes all his status updates come true.

Language

There is a use of 'bitches', as well as a shot of a character delivering a 'middle finger' gesture. Milder bad language includes uses of 'titties', 'pussy', 'ass', 'butt', 'freaking', 'jerk' and 'God'.

Sex

References are made to 'humping' and intercourse, a teenage girl tries to seduce a boy by drawing attention to her revealing outfit, and an older woman attempts to seduce a teenage boy by making sexualised noises and spraying herself with water.

Scenes of mild violence are infrequent, stylised and largely comic.

There are also infrequent passing references to drug misuse.
