STATIONS OF THE CROSS is a German drama about a fourteen year old girl from a strict Catholic family.

Theme

There are scenes in which the girl is bullied by her mother and teased and bullied by classmates. As an act of religious self sacrifice, the girl forgoes food, believing her eventual death will help her younger brother. Doctors regard the girl as a vulnerable child in need of medical care.

There is a scene containing moderate sex references in which a schoolboy mocks the fourteen year old girl about another boy who likes her.
