THE SQUARE is a Swedish comedy drama in which a curator of contemporary art begins to doubt his place in the world after the theft of his mobile phone.

Language

There is infrequent use of very strong language ('c**t'), as well as more frequent uses of strong language such as 'f**k' and 'c**ksucker'.

Threat

A man throws a woman to the floor and climbs on top of her, meaning to rape her. There is an intense and prolonged scene of moderate threat.

Sex

There is a sex scene, with breast nudity, after which a condom is seen to have been used.

There is moderate violence: a little girl and her cat are blown up in a comic marketing video; a child is pushed down stairs.

This work contains flashing images which may affect viewers who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy.
