THE SPIRIT is an adaptation of a comic book about a crime fighter called The Spirit, who must secure special powers in order to defeat his arch nemesis Octopus.

Violence

There are scenes of moderate violence throughout. Characters are seen fighting each other with a range of weapons including pistols, knives and machine guns, as well as engaging in hand-to-hand fighting throughout as they exchange crunchy kicks and punches. There is also occasional sight of blood such as when a man pulls a knife from his leg after being attacked.

There is a brief scene of nudity when a woman's towel slips from her body, exposing her bare buttocks.

There are uses of mild bad language such as 'piss', 'son of a bitch' and 'bastards.
