SPIDER-MAN is a fantasy action film about a teenage boy who, after being bitten by a spider, gains superhuman powers and must use them to fight an evil villain terrorising the streets of New York City.

Violence

There are fight scenes featuring crunchy punches, kicks, elbow blows, arm breaks and use of improvisational weapons, including chairs. The fighting occasionally results in injury detail with sight of bloodied faces and bodies. A man is impaled in the chest with a bladed hovercraft and there is brief sight of blood on the blades as they are pulled out from his body. There are also scenes of gun threat and gun fire.

There are scenes of moderate threat when a man convulses in a tank before transforming into his evil alter-ego, and also when he suffers from hallucinations. There is also mild bad language ('jerk', 'arse', 'Jesus', 'hell', 'crap', 'piss', 'butt') and a mild sex reference when a woman says "..those tights and that tight little butt" in response to Spider-man's suit.
