SONG FOR MARION is a British comedy drama about a widower who joins his late wife's choir.

Language

There is mild bad language, including uses of 'crap', 'bloody', 'sodding', and 'shit'. Two of the choir members make rude hand gestures, both the 'middle finger' and the 'V-sign'.

Sex

The choir rehearses and performs the song 'Let's Talk About Sex'. There are occasional references to sexual behaviour during conversations between choir members, but again there is no detail and the references are discreet.

The main character smokes through the film. However, it is unlikely that children will identify with the man and there is some disapproval of his habit when he first lights up.

The film also features a terminal illness and discreetly shows the death of a sympathetic character. However, the issues of illness and death are treated sensitively.
