SHOPLIFTERS is a Japanese drama in which an impoverished family takes in a young girl they fear is being abused.

Sex

There are scenes set in a peep show establishment where women dance and talk suggestively to male customers from behind two-way mirror screens. The women wear revealing clothing and underwear which are not removed to show any significant nudity. Another scene establishes sexual activity between a couple at their home and then returns to them after they have had sex and are talking to each other, during which partial breast and buttock nudity is shown. Verbal sex references include a woman being talked about as a "call girl" and the peep show manager saying to the performers, "No fingers inside panties. You'll get us shut down".

There are implications of domestic violence directed at a woman and a child, but this is not shown. There is mild bad language ('butt', 'tits', 'fart', 'damn', 'hell').
