SHOCK WAVE is a Cantonese language action thriller in which a terrorist takes control of an underwater tunnel in Hong Kong.

Violence

People are shot, causing spurts of blood. Milder violence includes infrequent kicks and punches.

Threat

Hostages and police are threatened with guns and explosives, and there are several prolonged gun battles. In another extended scene of threat, a bomb expert struggles to defuse explosives that are strapped around a frightened young police officer.

There is infrequent use of strong language ('f**k'). Milder terms include 'bastard', 'whore' and 'damn'. Moderate injury detail includes brief sight of bloody tissue strewn over the ground in the aftermath of an explosion in which a man was killed. There is also sight of a severed arm, without strong wound detail.
