SANCTUARY is an Irish comedy drama in which a couple with intellectual disabilities try to spend some time alone together.

Language

There is occasional use of strong language ('f**k'). Milder terms include 'prick', 'slut', 'whore', 'pissing', 'shit' and 'shite'.

Frequent sex references include non-graphic discussions of protected and unprotected sex and the correct method of using a condom. There is also brief sight of a discarded condom. Other issues include brief, non-graphic verbal references to the sexual abuse of a woman with intellectual disabilities by her carers. There is also a short scene of marijuana use, although the film as a whole does not endorse drug misuse.
