Note: The following text may contain spoilers

THE SALVATION is a Western in which a vicious gang leader seeks revenge against the man who killed his brother.

Violence

Several people are shot and killed during the course of the film. There are occasional brief blood spurts as bullets strike their target, and bullet holes are seen in corpses from time to time. In one scene blood is seen beginning to pool beneath the head of a dead man.

Other issues include references to a female character having been raped and murdered. There is also infrequent moderate and mild bad language, including uses of 'hell', ‘son of a bitch’ and 'whore'.
