SAFE HAVEN is a romantic thriller about a young woman from Boston who tries to escape a violent past to start a new life in a small seaside town in Virginia.

Threat

There are scenes of threat, when the central character's husband finds her and appears willing to use violence to take her back. He threatens a child that he briefly takes hostage, and also douses himself and a house in gasoline.

There is moderate violence, including in a domestic setting with a masked stabbing and a shooting.
