RYUICHI SAKAMOTO: CODA is a Japanese documentary about the Japanese composer, musician and activist.

Threat

In a clip from the 1983 war drama MERRY CHRISTMAS, MR. LAWRENCE, a prison camp guard is briefly shown preparing to behead a kneeling prisoner before another man intervenes. This sequence also contains sight of armed men guarding lines of prisoners including some emaciated semi-naked men lying on the ground.

Violence

There are still photos of the damaged and smoking Twin Towers during the September 11 attacks, and of the wreckage in the aftermath. There are no visible casualties, nor any graphic verbal references to the attacks.

There are occasional verbal references to cancer and cancer treatment. Other scenes feature images of wreckage at the Fukushima disaster site, with brief and non-graphic verbal references to fatalities.
