RING is a Japanese horror film, from 1998, in which a journalist investigates a mysterious video tape that is rumoured to kill anyone who watches it.

Threat

There are frequent scenes of threat in which people become anxious that they are being menaced by an evil spirit. There is a sequence of strong supernatural threat in which a demon lurches out of a television set.

There is brief sight of a dead body with a distorted face; a person discovers a decomposing body. There is also moderate violence when a person is hit over the head.
