RIDE ALONG is a US comedy film about a school security guard who wants to be a policeman. He gets an opportunity for some 'on the job' training with his policeman brother in law.

There are a number of scenes in which characters are shot at, or are hit by bullets. Occasionally some blood is visible on clothes, and in one case a small bloody bullet hole is briefly visible in a man's leg. There are also some scenes of hand to hand combat, featuring punches, kicks and occasional headbutts. Many scenes of violence are accompanied by jokes and comic asides.

Moderate sex references appear throughout the film, including a man talking about how his online gaming identity, Black Hammer, is a reference to his penis hitting the floor. There is some mimed sexual thrusting as a man is teased about what his sister is doing with her boyfriend. There are also references to a woman being a stripper who "clapped her ass together for money", and sight of some bikini wearing women standing around in a strip club.

There is a single use of strong language ('f**k'), which is neither aggressive nor directed. There is also one use of 'nigger', when a character does an impression of Denzel Washington in the film TRAINING DAY. The film, as a whole, does not endorse discriminatory language or behaviour. There is also some moderate and mild bad language, including uses of 'bitches', 'bastard', 'shit' and 'bullshit'.
