Note: The following text may contain spoilers

QUEEN OF THE DESERT is a historical biopic about Gertrude Bell, a writer, archaeologist, cartographer and political attaché for the British Empire in the Middle East.

Language

Mild bad language includes use of 'bitch', 'bastard' and 'bloody'.

Sex

A man asks a woman to 'fornicate' with him in a barn, and in one scene a man and a woman kiss passionately as they recline on a bed.

There is infrequent natural nudity when a woman's breasts become visible through her dress as she bathes. Infrequent and discrete references to sexual violence occur when a woman says that a harem of women were passed from man to man after an Emir and his family were murdered. There are also infrequent, undetailed references to suicide.
