A PRAYER BEFORE DAWN is a drama, based on a true story, in which a British boxer serves time in a Thai prison.

Violence

A prisoner is forced to watch as another inmate is restrained and raped repeatedly by other inmates.

There is also strong non sexual violence, much of which occurs during bouts of Muay Thai boxing. There is also injury detail in the aftermath of a suicide attempt.

Drugs

There are scenes of drug misuse, including the smoking of heroin, which is portrayed as desperate and dangerous.

There is also strong language ('f**k') and a scene of strong sex which includes breast nudity.
