POLYESTER is a US comedy, from 1981, in which a housewife's world falls apart as a result of her husband's adultery and the delinquent behaviour of her children.

Drugs

There is drug misuse, including cocaine snortiing and the ingestion of solvents. The drug misuse is shown in the context of a film which plays on comical bad taste and is carried out by exaggeratedly outrageous characters, rather than being presented as glamorous.

There are moderate sex references and slapstick violence with some bloody detail. There is also infrequent strong language ('f**k'), milder bad language ('whore', 'bastard', 'by God', 'goddam', 'hell') and discriminatory language ('faggot', 'fruit' and 'retarded').
