POLTERGEIST is a horror film about a family who are tormented by evil spirits after moving into a new home.

There is strong supernatural threat and horror throughout. This includes attacks on children as hands reach out of black ooze to grab a girl's leg, a clown doll attacks a boy before he is pulled out of the house by animated tree branches, and a young girl is induced to enter a dark netherworld. When that world is explored there are images of skeletal hands and faces reaching out to people.

There are some moderate sex references as a couple flirt with each other and the man jokes that 'things are looking up' as he lies, in clothes, on top of his wife on their bed. She tells him to undress but they are interrupted before anything further happens.

There is a single use of implied strong language as a teen girl says 'f'ing' and mild bad language including 'bullshit', 'pissed' and 'ass'.
