PEOPLE LIKE US is a drama about family secrets that are revealed when a young man discovers he has a half-sister whose existence he knew nothing about.

Drugs

There are some verbal references to drugs and a scene in which a mother and her adult son smoke cannabis joints. There are also scenes in which adult characters smoke cigarettes.

Language

There is a single use of strong language ('f**k'). There are also some uses of moderate and mild bad language, including 'ass', 'asshole', 'shit', 'bullshit', 'balls', 'pissed', 'douche', 'pricks' and 'dick'.

There are some mild sex references, including a comic scene that merely establishes a couple's lovemaking without any detail. There is also infrequent mild violence.
