THE PASSENGER is a drama thriller from 1975 in which a disillusioned journalist swaps identities with a dead man.

Disturbing images

A sequence in the film features footage of a real execution by firing squad. A man is tied to a post in front of a wall of oil drums and shot several times, his body jerking with the impacts. Although there is only minimal bloody detail, the footage shows the man in the process of dying.

There is infrequent strong language ('f**k'), as well as milder bad language including uses of 'son of a bitch', 'shit', 'hell' and 'Jesus Christ'. There is also brief moderate violence and nudity.
