MY WEEK WITH MARILYN is a drama about the relationship between a young assistant director and Marilyn Monroe during the filming of 'The Prince and the Showgirl' at Pinewood Studios in 1956. The film was classified '15' for strong language.
There are seven uses of strong language, one of which is delivered in a sexualised context. This exceeds the terms of the BBFC's Guidelines at '12A'/'12', which state 'The use of strong language (for example, 'fuck') must be infrequent', but is permissible at '15' where the Guidelines state 'There may be frequent use of strong language'.
The film also contains a few references to the misuse of prescription medication and some brief shots of rear female nudity in a non sexual context. There are some scenes of smoking but this reflects the period in which the film is set and the film as a whole does not glamorise smoking.
