MUTE is a sci-fi drama, set in a futuristic city, in which a mute bartender stands up to the city's gangsters as he searches for his missing partner.

Language

There is strong language ('motherf**ker', 'cocks**ker', 'f**k'), as well as milder terms including 'bitch', 'prick', 'a-hole', 'shit' and 'son of a bitch'.

Sex

There is sight of two male robots thrusting near each other mechanically, one of which has a large spiked dildo attached to its crotch. There are references to fellatio, prostitution and brothels. There are references to a man's paedophile inclination.

Violence

There are bloody stabbings, beatings with wooden poles and other objects, and a near drowning.

Injury detail

Scenes of surgery include a voice box operation, and another procedure to remove bullets from a man's torso and leg.

There is sight of topless female bots dancing with nipple tassels on breasts and brief buttock nudity.
