MOVIE 43 is a US comedy in which three teenage boys search the internet for a supposedly 'banned' film entitled MOVIE 43. What they find is a series of comic sketches, each of which has been created by a different director. The film is rated 15 for frequent strong sex references and very strong language.

There are frequent strong sex references throughout the film, both visual and verbal. One extended sketch features a woman who wants her partner to defecate on her in order to demonstrate his love for her. Her request is not realised, although the concept is frequently discussed. The overall effect is one of 'gross out' comedy rather than eroticism. At points in the film, there is sight of pornography being viewed, including some breast and buttock nudity. However, no strong detail is shown. Elsewhere there are scenes involving clearly prosthetic breasts and male genitals. There are strong verbal references to sexual acts, including oral sex, masturbation and ejaculation. The references are frequently crude, but comic in nature. There are also undetailed verbal references to incest and paedophilia.

There is some comic sight of violence and blood, including during a sketch in which two men are shot and beaten up by Leprechauns.

Strong language (eg 'f**k', 'motherf**ker', 'c**ksucker') occurs throughout. There are also a couple of uses of very strong language ('c**t'), both of which occur in a comic context. MOVIE 43 also features some racist and discriminatory remarks, also in a comic or satirical context.

The teenage characters in the film are seen smoking and there are some scenes of dangerous behaviour (eg a dart board being thrown at a person's face and a cartoon cat drinking mercury from a thermometer).

No-one younger than 15 may see an 15 rated film in the cinema. No-one younger that 15 may rent or buy an 15 rated video or DVD.
