A MONSTER IN PARIS is an animated film set in 1910 about a flea that is transformed to giant size in a laboratory accident and, despite meaning no harm, is hunted through the city. The film was classified ā€˜Uā€™ and contains mild violence.

The film is an adventure in which a group of characters come to befriend the misunderstood flea and help him in his attempts to evade capture. This involves chases and moments of threat and danger within the context of the roller coaster action. But these scenes are neither prolonged unnecessarily nor unduly intense, and they are underpinned by the comic elements of the story. Characters are also threatened with guns and a fight takes place on top of the Eiffel Tower. But these scenes of mild violence are embedded in fantasy with no disturbing detail or sight of any characters being seriously hurt. All these elements fall within the BBFC's Guidelines allowance at 'U', which states there may be 'Mild violence only. Occasional mild threat or menace only'.

The film also contains very mild bad language such as 'god' and 'butt'.
