MISS PEREGRINE'S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN is an adventure fantasy, adapted from the novel by Ransom Riggs, about a home for children with special abilities.

Threat

There are extended scenes of threat, usually involving large fantasy creatures which feed on people's eyes.

Violence

Scenes of violence include skeletons, which are brought to life to fight the bad characters, a man's heart being removed, and mutant dolls being brought to life to fight.

There is a scene in which characters feast on eyes, stacked on a plate.

Bodies are seen after their eyes have been taken.

There is mild bad language, including 'bugger', 'bollocks' and 'crap'. Milder terms include 'God', 'damn' and 'hell'.
