MISS JULIE is a period drama set in Ireland over the course of one midsummer night, about a servant who is seduced by his wealthy mistress.

Sex

Sex is implied by undetailed sight of a clothed man washing his genitals afterwards, a spot of blood on a woman's hand implying the loss of virginity, and a woman removing her underwear from around her ankles. There are also moderate verbal references to a 'whorehouse', to a man getting a woman to 'open her legs', and a woman saying her womb cried out for a man's sperm.

Language

There are several uses of moderate bad language ('whore') and milder terms including 'bastard' and 'shit'.

Suicide

A suicide is implied by sight of blood clouding stream water beside a dead body, but there is no injury detail.

The film also includes some mild violence, and a scene showing a decapitated canary with some blood, but no sight of it being killed.
