MIA AND THE WHITE LION is a South African family drama in which a young girl forms a special bond with a lion.

Language

A girl refers to another girl as 'fugly' whilst making a rude two finger gesture at her friend. Milder terms used include 'bloody', 'shit', 'God', 'hell', 'Christ' and 'scumbucket'.

Injury detail

A girl shoots her dad in the leg with a tranquiliser, with brief sight of bloody detail. After a man is attacked by a lion, he has blood on his face and shirt.

A few images on a laptop show dead lions lying beside poachers, with sight of a small amount of blood on one of the animals. There is mild threat when a teenage boy enters a lion's pen.
