MAURICE is a period drama in which a man struggles with his sexuality.

After it is implied that a couple have just had sex, there is sight of male genital and buttock nudity as the men embrace and get dressed.

A man embraces his lover and they have sex, with brief thrusting detail implied. There is also a scene in which a male teacher explains the facts of life to a boy by drawing outlines of male and female genitalia on the beach.

There is infrequent strong language ('f**k'), as well as some milder bad language (for example, 'bitch', 'whoring', 'bloody', 'balls', 'ass', 'damn', 'God').
