MACBETH is an adaptation of Shakespeare's tragedy.


Battle sequences feature sight of people being stabbed with swords, resulting in blood spurts. A young boy's throat is cut with a sword. A man is stabbed in his bed; there is sight of the bed covered in blood.

Two characters have sex; they remain fully clothed but there is thrusting and heavy breathing. A character puts his hand up a woman's skirt.

A mother and her children are tied to wooden posts; a subsequent fire in the same location implies that they have been killed.
