LIZZIE is a period drama in which a woman takes revenge on her boorish father.

A man and woman are repeatedly struck with an axe, with strong bloody impact detail. It is also strongly implied that a woman is subjected to sexual abuse by her employer.

Injury detail

In the aftermath of violence, dead bodies are seen with injury detail, which includes a gruesome close up shot of a man's bloodied face with a large axe wound cutting across it.

There is infrequent use of very strong language ('c**t') and occasional use of strong language ('f**k').

There are scenes in which pigeons are butchered with an axe. There is also a scene in which two women kiss and fondle one another.
