LIFE ITSELF is a US romantic drama in which chance events connect strangers across generations and continents.

Language

There is strong language ('f**k', 'motherf**ker'), as well as milder bad language including uses of 'bitch', 'shit', 'asshole', 'hell', 'goddam' and 'Jesus Christ'.

Violence

A teenage girl who has been abused by a guardian for years finally turns on her abuser and shoots him in the knee, causing a large blood spurt. In a another scene, a troubled man gives in to his despair and shoots himself in the head, which also has bloody consequences. Moderate violence includes impressions of characters involved in car crashes and being run down by a bus.

There is brief prescription drug misuse, as well as moderate sex references.
