A LATE QUARTET is a drama about a classical music quartet and the pressures that threaten to tear them apart. It is rated 15 for strong language and sex.

The film contains nine uses of strong language ('f**k'), some of which are aggressive and one of which is directly sexual.

There is a scene in which a member of the Quartet has sex with his mistress. The woman is seen sitting astride the man, moving in a sexual manner. The woman's bare breasts are visible throughout.

The film also deals with the issue of terminal illness, with one character suffering from Parkinson's Disease. The issue is dealt with in a sensitive and sympathetic manner.

There is a brief moment of violence when a punch is thrown but no injury is seen.

No-one younger than 15 may see a 15 rated film in the cinema. No-one younger than 15 may rent or buy a 15 rated video or DVD.
