LADY BIRD is a US comedy drama, set in the early 2000s, in which life becomes complicated for a rebellious young woman as she nears her eighteenth birthday.

Language

There is infrequent very strong language ('c**t'), as well as strong language ('f**k') and milder terms including 'dick', 'shit', 'pissed' and 'assholes'.

Nudity

There is brief sight of an erect penis as a young woman looks through the pages of a pornographic magazine.

A teenage couple have sex, but there is no strong visual detail. Other issues include verbal sex references, a scene in which it is implied characters are smoking marijuana, and an undetailed reference to suicide.
