KAVAN is a Tamil language thriller in which a news anchor tries to expose a corrupt businessman who has endorsed violence in order to cover up unethical practices.

Violence

Characters are struck with sticks or logs and others are shot, infrequently resulting in small blood spurts. Several fight scenes involve hard slaps, punches, kicks and headbutts. There is occasional aftermath sight of blood on characters' faces and clothes.

A screaming, struggling woman is held down by men in the back of a van in a scene of implied rape. There are also multiple undetailed verbal references to sexual violence.

Language

There is infrequent moderate bad language ('prick'). Milder terms include 'shit', 'pissing', 'crap', 'arse' and 'bloody'.

Other issues include occasional mild sex references.
