Note: The following text may contain spoilers

THE ISLE is a horror film in which three shipwrecked sailors wash up on a mysterious island.

Sexual violence

A man pins a woman to the floor and means to rape her, but is disturbed by a passer-by.

Violence

A man strikes a woman's head with a heavy object and, in stifling her cries, suffocates her to death.

There is supernatural threat from ghostly and malevolent forces. There is a moderate sex scene, without nudity, and close-up sight of a bleeding wound. Strong language ('f**k') is used infrequently, together with milder terms such as 'Jesus' and 'shit'. It is implied that two women take their own lives by jumping from a cliff.
