IP MAN is a subtitled Chinese period bio-pic chronicling the life and work of Ip, the Grandmaster of martial arts. The film was classified '15' uncut for 'moderate martial arts violence and bloody injury'.

The film contains several sequences of moderate martial arts violence, including heavy kicks, punches, blows with sticks and machetes. The detail of some of the violence reveals brief bloody injury shots to victims in the fight sequences. The '12A' guidelines allow for violence that has no 'emphasis on injuries or blood'. In this film, there are some shots of bloody injury and injury, which make the experience more suitable at the'15' classification.

The film also contains mild language (eg. 'bullshit', 'damn', 'asshole'), all of which is easily acceptable at the '15' classification.
