HUSTLERS CONVENTION is a documentary about an album released in 1973 that was to have a major influence on hip hop music.

Language

There is occasional use of strong language ('motherf**ker' and 'f**k'). There is also moderate and mild bad language, including uses of 'ass', 'bitches', 'pissing', 'shit' and 'whores'. There are also several uses of the term 'nigger', in both interviews and rap song lyrics.

Drugs

In one scene, a man smokes a marijuana joint. Elsewhere, an animated sequence includes portrayals of a cartoon character both snorting cocaine and smoking a joint. There is also archive black and white footage of liquid, probably heroin, being drawn up into a syringe. There are several verbal references to drugs and drug taking, mostly in the form of rap song lyrics.

Other issues include moderate violence in animated sequences as cartoon characters are punched, kicked and in one case, shot.
