THE HUNDRED-FOOT JOURNEY is a drama about an Indian family who arrive in a small French village and set up a new restaurant across the road from a Michelin-starred venue.

Language

Mild bad language includes use of 'bloody' and 'shit'. There is also use of 'god'.

Threat

There are two scenes in which restaurants are set on fire. In one, the fire is started by rioters and a woman is trapped in the flames. We later learn she was killed. In the other, a man's hands are burnt as he attempts to put out the fire. There is also a scene in which the brakes on a van fail and it swerves down a country road.

Other issues include a young couple sharing a kiss and a man commenting that his son looks like a 'bloody terrorist' in a magazine photograph.
